PARENTHESIS
***
everyone in the cathedral
…..is a song
…..living as voices in the corridor
…..it takes too much
…..remembrance
…..to see their countenance
…..saunter into history books
***
the cathedral
…..is where you put your tongue
…..until you provoke God
…..to talk back
***
what do you remember
…..of the shadow that came
…..into the cathedral
…..and sat in the background
…..like a painting
…..whose benediction
…..breaks into a critter’s song
